About CAP
(ACAE’s Computerized Accreditation Program)
The presentation of ACAE’s CAP is a new and innovative computerized accreditation program that combines high quality standards with state-of-the-art technology yielding multi-tiered benefits. The result is accreditation PLUS - an interactive, web-based process, designed to facilitate ease in management and provide valuable information to program directors, faculty, students, and communities of interest. Online participation, an interactive self-study process, competency assessments, and the ability to retrieve national trends and analyses from a data warehouse are some of the highlights.
The fully computerized process reduces the usual voluminous paperwork, while providing access to resources through a centralized data warehouse. By featuring an efficient and helpful means of preparing for the accreditation, CAP promotes a collaborative engagement with programs offering a doctorate in audiology, i.e., the Au.D.
CAP aspires to be a new prototype for higher education accreditation.
